Lorsque Pfizer a repris Coty au début des années 1960, l'un des descendants décide de continuer à fabriquer des parfums sous son propre nom. Stéphane COTY. Jade Impérial fut l'une de ses créations . Pfizer décide lors de le poursuivre pour contrefaçon. Stéphane COTY perd le procès et décide de vendre son stock de parfums en Russie, interdisant de ce fait Pfizer faire saisir son stock. Donc, les seules bouteilles existantes sont quelques-unes vendus aux États-Unis et le reste a été vendu en Russie.
