DESCRIPTION
With the Airborne flag, the Battle of Arnhem is commemorated annually in September. The Battle of Arnhem was a historic air landing and battle during the Second World War that took place in and around Arnhem from 17 to 25 September 1944, as part of Operation Market Garden. It is the largest operation on Dutch territory during the Second World War. It was largely a failure for the Allies and the Netherlands because the bridge in Arnhem over the Rhine could not be taken, which was accompanied by many casualties.
The deployment of these allied soldiers is still highly appreciated. For many years the British Airborne and Polish veterans, together with their families, have been warmly welcomed in Arnhem, Oosterbeek and the surrounding area.
The symbol of the 1st British Airborne Division is a light blue Pegasus (flying horse) ridden by the mythological figure Bellerophon.
MATERIAL
The Airborne flag is made from 115 gr / m² glossy polyester with double-seamed seams and is very durable. This makes the flag very suitable for both inside and outside. The printing technique used is sublimation pressure, which ensures a 95% push-through to the rear of the Airborne flag. The ink is in the canvas during suplimation printing and is UV resistant. The flag is B1 / M1 fire retardant and washable at 30º with delicate washing powder.
DIMENSION AND FINISH
We deliver the Airborne flag in the standard size of 100 x 150 cm. We recommend using a standard gable pole of 2 meters for this flag size to make the flag stand out optimally, but the flag can also be attached to other standard mast poles. The flag is finished with a cord and loop for a strong and correct mounting on the flagpole.

IMPRINT OF THE AIRBORNE FLAG
The Airborne flag is executed in maroon red with the Pegasus, the symbol of the 1st British Airborne Division, depicted in light blue. The flag is therefore sometimes called the Pegasus flag.
BESCHRIJVING
Met de Airborne vlag wordt jaarlijks in september de Slag om Arnhem herdacht. De Slag om Arnhem was een historische luchtlanding en veldslag tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog die van 17 tot 25 september 1944 in en rond Arnhem plaatsvond, als onderdeel van Operatie Market Garden. Het is de grootste operatie op Nederlands grondgebied tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Het was voor de geallieerden en Nederland grotendeels een mislukking doordat de brug in Arnhem over de Rijn niet kon worden ingenomen, wat gepaard ging met vele gesneuvelden.
De de inzet van deze geallieerde militairen wordt nog altijd bijzonder hoog gewaardeerd. Al vele jaren worden de Britse Airborne en Poolse veteranen samen met hun familie hartelijk welkom geheten in Arnhem, Oosterbeek en omgeving.
Het symbool van de 1st British Airborne Division is een lichtblauwe Pegasus (vliegend paard) bereden door het mythologische figuur Bellerophon.
MATERIAAL
De Airborne vlag wordt gemaakt uit 115 gr/m² glans polyester met dubbel gezoomde naden en is zeer duurzaam. Hierdoor is de vlag voor zowel binnen als buiten zeer geschikt. De druktechniek die wordt gebruikt is sublimatie druk, wat voor een 95% doordruk naar de achterzijde van de Airborne vlag zorgt. De inkt zit bij suplimatiedruk in het doek en is UV bestendig. De vlag is B1 / M1 brandvertragend en wasbaar op 30º met fijnwasmiddel.
AFMETING EN AFWERKING
Wij leveren de Airborne vlag in de standaard afmeting van 100 x 150 cm. Wij adviseren om voor dit formaat vlag een standaard gevelstok van 2 meter te gebruiken om de vlag optimaal uit te laten komen, maar de vlag is ook op andere standaard maststokken prima te bevestigen. De vlag wordt afgewerkt met een koord en lusje voor een sterke en juiste montage aan de vlaggenmast.

OPDRUK VAN DE AIRBORNE VLAG
De Airborne vlag is uitgevoerd in marron rood met daarop in lichtblauw afgebeeld de Pegasus, het symbool van de 1st British Airborne Division. De vlag wordt daarom ook wel eens de Pegasus vlag genoemd.

La bataille d'Arnhem était un atterrissage aérien et une bataille historiques de la Deuxième Guerre mondiale qui se déroulèrent à Arnhem et dans ses environs du 17 au 25 septembre 1944, dans le cadre de l'opération Market Garden. Il s’agit de la plus grande opération sur le territoire néerlandais pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Ce fut en grande partie un échec pour les Alliés et les Pays-Bas, car le pont d'Arnhem sur le Rhin ne pouvait être franchi, ce qui entraîna de nombreuses victimes.
Le déploiement de ces soldats alliés est toujours très apprécié. Pendant de nombreuses années, les vétérans britanniques et aéroportés de l'armée de l'air britannique ainsi que leurs familles ont été chaleureusement accueillis à Arnhem, à Oosterbeek et dans les environs.
Le symbole de la 1re division aéroportée britannique est un pégase bleu clair (cheval volant) monté par le personnage mythologique Bellerophon.
Matériel
Le drapeau Airborne est fabriqué à partir de polyester brillant de 115 g / m² avec des coutures à double couture et est très résistant. Cela rend le drapeau très approprié à la fois à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur. La technique d’impression utilisée est la pression de sublimation, qui assure une pénétration de 95% à l’arrière du drapeau Airborne. L'encre est dans la toile lors de l'impression par sublimation et résiste aux UV. Le drapeau est ignifuge B1 / M1 et lavable à 30 ° avec une lessive en poudre délicate.
DIMENSION ET FINITION
Nous livrons le drapeau Airborne au format standard de 100 x 150 cm. Nous vous recommandons d'utiliser un poteau standard de 2 mètres pour cette taille de drapeau afin de garantir une sortie optimale du drapeau, mais le drapeau peut également être facilement fixé à d'autres poteaux de mât standard.
